Russian troops aren't lost, they are on holidays in Ukraine!

The Russian troops taken prisoner by the Ukrainian military were supposedly on maneuvers when they accidentally crossed the border into Ukraine.  Putin said it was Ukraine's fault that there was an unguarded border crossing allowing them to get lost...in rebel held territory. Today Canada tweeted a a lovely snide posting of a map to help guide the Russian troops in case they get lost, which immediately went viral.  Thanks @Canada.

Today, both Arseniy Yatseniuk and Petro Poroshenko accused the Russians of sending troops into Ukraine.  "There are Russian boots on the ground in Ukraine."  Yatseniuk called for immediate and complete sanctions against Russia from the US and EU and special meeting of NATO.  NATO has corroborated that Russian troops have crossed into Ukraine, Cameron and Merkel have sent warnings.  America, I am ashamed to say, remains silent. Poland, dear neighboring @Poland, has called for an end to political posturing and is calling a special meeting to take decisive action, whatever that may be. They do not take this lightly.

Satellite images show Russian armed and armoured vehicles entering Ukraine.  It's the stretch that Putin needs to connect the dots between Crimea and Russia.  Crimea is in trouble and they need a road for transport of supplies into the region.  Putin is like the spoiled little brat crying, "But I want that piece.  It's mine, mine, I tell you."

And Aleksandr Zakharchenko, the new head of the Donetsk People's Republic who replaced Russian Borodai in a move to defuse the purported Russian involvement very transparently, says there are 4000 Russian military personnel in Ukraine giving up their holidays to fight with the pro-Russian rebels.  Right. So the Russian military go on holiday in Ukraine to fight in a civil war? Was that with or without their own weapons?

First they were lost and now they are on holiday in a war zone? How stupid does Putin really think everyone is? NATO has just confirmed that the Ukrainian town of Novoazovsk is now controlled by Russian military. NATO has also called an emergency session on Ukraine.

Heaven help us all. This situation is grim. I really hope we are not on the brink of a world war.
